On the verge of the July 13th (UK/Europe)/July 14th (North America) release of their debut album Horehound, The Dead Weather announce the uncensored Cinemax debut of the short "Treat Me Like Your Mother." The groundbreaking film was directed by Jonathan Glazer, whose credits range from such highly-acclaimed feature films as Sexy Beast and Birth to award-winning music videos for Radiohead. In a rare event, the film will premiere in full in the US on Cinemax on July 11th at 9:55 pm and continue to air on all of the Cinemax multiplex channels for the following five weeks. The short will premiere in the UK on Channel 4 on July 13th at 00:10.
"It was overwhelmingly electric working with Jonathan Glazer on this project, which feels more short film than video," said White. "I've never felt an intensity like I did on the set of this shoot. Absolutely violent, explosive, and poetic."
"Theirs was a beautiful energy to tap in to," explained Glazer. "You can't ask for anything more."

I'm not a big fan of Glazer, but I'll watch anything of his after Virtual Insanity.

So I watched this on Saturday. Is it just me or was it a bit weird? AND when I say the premise of the short out loud it is even weirder. "They machine gun each other to death?!" (Well not really death, but walking alive/dead)
Although, I loved the bullet holes!!

Re: Premiere Treat Me Like Your Mother short by Jonathan Gla
So I am the one that won this years ago via a contest on the Vault. I've been thinking lately with all the Jack hoopla that I should try to get this insured. Anyone know if I could even get this done, who would do it, and how much it would be worth? I mean, I think it would be worth quite a bit since it's one of a kind and all, but I didn't know if what I think it's worth and realistically what it's worth are the same. I did have to open it up once because all the bullet casings came off. No way would I even consider selling it (unless someone offered me enough to get out of debt completely ) but I thought I should try to protect myself in case something happened. PM me if you got any suggestions.
Thanks!

That looks fantastic! Congrats! (again)
Most insurance companies will suggest you get a rider to tack on to your existing insurance policy. Try to print out all of the documentation you can find, like notices of the contest and the e-mail they notified you with, and bring it to a local auction house or appraiser with the item. They should have someone on staff with a background in pop memorabilia. They often charge a nominal fee but sometimes offer free appraisal days so its worth it to ask. Good luck!

Threat Me Like Your Mother is the best video I've recently seen! Jack and Alison look gorgeous, and the theme of the video is very close to us all I suppose. Great job and great side project
