The ever-prolific Oh Sees are back with a new album this summer. It’s titled Smote Reverser, and it arrives August 17 via Castle Face. Listen to leadoff single “Overthrown” below, and check out its extremely metal cover artwork by illustrator Matt Stawicki.

OOF. First impression? Not really my taste. We’ll see how it ages.

Actually digging the new single "C" WAY more than the first single. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxRPbRp6iIg

Apparently Dwyer is calling the album much more progressive than recent albums despite "Overthrown". I'm cautiously excited now :D
