If they are in fact putting in a record press, it will probably take up the majority of the free space that was described earlier if it is a full size press. If it's a hand press, maybe not so much but the hand press at URP does not feed vinyl, they get it from another press that has the actual vinyl extruder. The car repair garage is probably better suited for the press anyway since it was built for mechanical work. The other consideration is the plating process, are they going to do that as well? At URP the plating and pressing are in two seperate buildings. Not sure if that's just the way it ended up or if it's part of some OSHA regulations.

apparently i have no idea what i am talking about i suppose....

I feel silly arguing this further but I didn't say I wish they WOULD play, I wished for the POSSIBILITY they would play. So, let's just say you have half an idea what you're talking about and call this a truce.

now this is real reporting here ... i have a serious respect for systems design and the sort of planning that can accommodate appropriate HVAC protocols for health

Has anyone heard any updates about this? Back in September at the SoundLand show I was talking to an employee who said the identity of the new building would be announced probably by Christmas. I can't help but notice that it's past Christmas..
Also, I asked him if the expansion would mean they would need more workers. He said, "Yeah, if you can drive a forklift."
Any guesses? Things they've overheard? I'm curious. I guess that's what they want, though.

I was at the listening party back in Feb. Ben was asked by one of us in our Q&A time about the use of the building. I believe he said that it's just an expanded storage space as of right now. But then again who really knows?

Sounds like a classic TMR answer. Being that there wasn't anything done in there yet, it was just a "storage space". But they never give out any real details on things until the release.

Maybe it really is just storage space, i should imagine they desperately need it.

You don't think they hold much stock? Or, plan on producing more records, more merch etc....
We know from recent singles sales that the JW stuff is being produced in 5000+ runs per single/LP.
