Best way to get a limited release

I have still never gotten a random limited release. I'm wondering what is the best way to order to have the best chances. 6 individual purchases or one purchase of 6?

Well, my girlfriend ordered a few extra singles when she bought the Duane single, and I just bought the Duane single and I got a random. I seem to think that ordering one is the way to go. She got a random Colbert that way too. Just ordered the one single.

I've always ordered one single and never gotten one but know some have. I know people that have ordered two and gotten a random mal order tri. I always assumed I hadn't received one because I'm only about an hour or so from Nashville. So who knows maybe it really is just random.

Pay over the odds on eBay for a tri, then order black one to keep up your collection. It's worked for me on the two randoms I have.

I've tried every which way but loose, no random tris for me. I ordered the JW single but won't be ordering any more until the shipping options are corrected.

All but one of my Nashvillian friends are into TMR and the odd one out won't go wait in line for me. On the plus side I'm only 2 hours away.

yeah this is tough, getting random limited releases in the mail is mostly luck,, several people have gotten multiple random inserts while others have ordered every single release and not gotten any (im in this bunch)..

i used to order items separately as they came out hoping that would get me a random insert, but the shipping per item is so high that it probably makes more sense to group purchases into fewer orders to save on shipping and just buy on ebay the limited releases you really want.. if not you end up spending the same amount on shipping as you do the vinyl,, a single costs 6 and shipping is 6 as well.. that adds up over time

then just time your group-bundled purchases when the 12' limited releases come out (which tend to be more expensive on ebay than tris),,

you could do all that or just get a buddy in nashville

yea i see the benefits of having a Nashville friend but i think they are all taken. Unfortunately i can’t make it to TMR for this release due to school so mail order lotto is going to be my way to go and if that doesn’t work I’ll wait until they average out on ebay a few months after the initial surge. Thanks for the input.

I have gotten 6 limited releases no tris through random mail order I just order one every time.
