Trust

Post by thirdgirlll »

Hi all

I am a massive fan of all things Jack White. I have been a member for a few years with the intentions of building my collection and selling some of my stuff. However, It’s taking me some time to get around to it.

I want to earn trust. I’m not sure how I go about it. I do live in Detroit. Luckily, I am only 40 min from Thirdman Cass. So I go to all the openings and any event they have. I do have a lot of storefront only Merch. I’ve been to both the Grand opening of the store and opening of the pressing plant. I also went to the Carl Sagan event sending record into space. I purchased the VIP package there and have one set of the vip only gifts from the event I’m looking to sell .

I do have two inchophone sets I got via a close contact. If anyone can give me help or advice on building trust through the swirl community I would appreciate it.

Thanks everyone!

Just jump, man. Find a respected member and do a bigger trade with them but send your stuff first. Once they can vouch for you, do some smaller transactions to build good feedback (I think we still have the feedback system here). Trust will come, just get started.

Helps for trust:
Posting photos of what you are selling.
Posting prices for what you are selling.

Shane assumed OP identified as male but username indicates otherwise.

This ^ ^

Also I think a few of my first few transactions were either me buying or trading. When you are buying, you obviously send your money first before getting items and with trades you can both swap goods with tracking, so it builds trust with members and builds your feedback. As mentioned above, when you are selling, posting original photos of your stuff always helps build trust.

Reply to PMs asking for a price when you haven't given a price.
Don't ask for help acquiring an item on a forum then offer the same item for sale on that forum once you manage to get a couple, especially when you only managed to acquire said items because of a tip off from members of that forum.

Did she do this? Or are you referring to another member?

Can anyone help me out on this. I am a total idiot. I literally live 45 min from tmr Detroit an totally got had a mental block and thought for some reason rsd was Sunday. I am literally an idiot. I would’ve got a couple of these.

So now I’m looking for one.

I’m also searching for the white stripe 3” records.

Thanks for any info you can share.

thirdgirlll wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2019 12:09 pm I have two of the sets I can sell.

I can’t believe I was lucky enough to get them.

So it comes with the inchophone and the six 3” stripes singles. I haven’t even taken them out of the box. I opened the box to take a picture.
