Flightless getting in on Thee Oh Sees (Mutilator variant, clear with orange blob /1000):

Flightless are also putting on Thee Oh See's Australian tour next year (as well as some Mac DeMarco sideshows) so I can't help but wonder if this is the beginning of a more even sided relationship between the Gizz and the many bigger acts / labels they've built relationships with.

Re: Thee Oh Sees
new Thee Oh Sees 7'' out on Castle Face
"Culled from the same sessions as the mighty Mutilator Defeated At Last, here we have a heavy little bit of wax for you to bite into. Fortress is backed by Man In A Suitcase, an old live favorite. 8 armed, kinetic, and racing ahead into distinctly dreamy and proggy territory, these two tracks are cut from nightmare cloth as only JPD and co. can weave, with an emphasis on the tossing and turning. A must have addendum to Mutilator, and a lovely appetizer to whet your appetite for another full length later this year."

Re: Thee Oh Sees
The real bummer is they recorded a live in SF with the former lineup (I was at one of the nights) but apparently there was a problem with the tape and it wasn't useable.

Re: Thee Oh Sees
When I'd read this a few days ago on Pitchfork these were exactly my thoughts. Even did a quick research to see if anything, maybe Brigid was involved with the show(s) (I know she's made appearances here and there). I'm still a fan of the former lineup as well. Former as in the lineup of John, Petey, Brigid, and Michael. Not as just a 3 piece band (minus the 2nd drummer).Johny Boy wrote:I d rather have a live with the former line up but i will surely get it though. ..
