Tomorrow, we will be releasing a new poster with Sideshow Collectibles for Disney-Pixar's TOY STORY. We'll also have tickets available tomorrow through the Alamo Drafthouse website for a special outdoor screening at Austin's Park and Pizza. The show is on May 31st and tickets will be available here.
Please follow us on Twitter for the on sale announcement. This poster will be available online at a random time on Thursday, May 10th.
word is these are 24x36....
and there's a VARIANT TOO!!!
that is awesome how do i get one
make sure to go over to EB and express frustrations and suicidal thoughts due to not being able to grab a print because of dozens of "White screen" errors or paypal lag..and don't forget to post in the release thread and ask people to sell you their spare.....
Can anyone tell me why no-one seems interested in band prints any more and it is all about movie posters? People on EBeans seem to be scrambling for every new movie print, no matter how ugly (IMO I think this one is hideous, although the variant is a bit better) and flipping them for huge prices while the bottom has completely dropped out of the music print market. I really don't see the attraction myself. Maybe it is to appease irritated spouses who prefer a Toy Story print on the wall to RJ's awesome new drowning horse JW poster?
To be honest, in regards to the whole gigposter die down..i think for me it really came down to making a decision to only really care for gigposters from shows i've attended. The only times i've really wanted gigposters for shows i hadn't been to were most of the stuff RJ does for any of the jack bands. But after a long while of getting out of the print game coupled with not having enough funds for most drops...it got easier to not care for gigposters esp if i wasn't at the show. I can only do certain gp's like the RJ Kills 10th anny print; and maybe that south park BK one but honestly, i can't stand having all the show info for another place that isn't even in my state ya know?
As for the movie print scene, that shit just bleew up. Plus, loads of cinefiles and particular film lovers out there. I love movie prints, well only the ones i actually go for, i love. i will forever <3 my Michael Myers Mondo Halloween print. the flipping thing is def a big contributor though i think.

Most people aren't always aware of gigposters even being on sale at the damn shows..nonetheless online unless you're following the artists. Movie prints just brought in TONS of different fanatics, like the star wars guys, marvel guys, LOST. In the end, i think you end up getting, much like the recent JW surge in people who just recognize that hit wax sells like hotcakes, there's tons of people who just recognize that the print world is an easy buck most of the time.

so exactly how long DOES it take for mondo to ship out their posters? first time buying from mondo but i reckon it can't be worse than mccarthy right? I mean, they're already printed i would seem think since they were going to have some at a screening.
Pointing out another designer with some cute posters: Claudia Varosio
I like her movie stuff, the Clockwork Orange poster rules. I might wind up getting this one though:
January 1, 2525: Jack White, 21st century musician, revived after long period of cryogenic freezing, publicly states he no longer finds you pretty good looking.
<JackWhite> Hamptonio: yes, and tell the lovely wife that i really love the pot pie recipe. i can't get enough LOL! anyway, let me know when you get that package of test pressings i sent you.
Not really a new print release but Stan Chow tweeted this yesterday and I did some research on the artist work today.
Seems like it can be a unique present for someone (if they are into that kind of things).
The poster that Todd McFarlane and MAXX 242 did for Pearl Jam's show in Copenhagen goes on sale tomorrow at noon. Figured I'd post it here in case of any crossover interest from comics/prints people.
