Looks like the gigposters book is already making it to people. Also looks like some people have started chopping it up to sell. :?

Should be interesting to see what's in there from Rob, obviously this is.

I'm contemplating whether I should pick this one up to match the 3 Detroit posters from 05. I'm interested in seeing some close-ups of this if anyone has one.

Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or resurrect this one. Since my question directly coincides with this thread I decided to post here.

Today I picked up this poster at a thrift store, already framed, for $1. It's definitely not an original (the color is more of a maroon than the traditional red of the WS, and it looks like it may have come out of a book because there's info about the artist and pictures of other posters he's done for the WS and the Raconteurs on the back. This sounds like what is being discussed in this thread. Can someone explain to me what they are talking about, this gigposter book? I'm just curious to know what I've got. I think this may be the best thing I've ever found at a thrift store, even though it's probably not worth much.

I can post a photo if need be.

Thanks!

I'm curious as what it looks like
To get an answer of somebody who may know (definitely not me) you may post the dimensions of the 'poster'.
I'm sure they can tell if it comes from the book with the dimensions. As I read I don't think it's poster size?

Yeah, I'd bet money it's one of those "101 ready to frame posters."

Thanks for the help y'all!

It's 10 x 14 and here are the pics of the front and back. (The missing part of the cats face on the back came from me trying to get the tape off from where someone had taped it to the matte board. Even got the hair dryer out and still failed miserably.)

Wonder what Rob Jones thinks of this "reproduction"?

I'm not so certain it is a repro. It's the same size of the original and I've never seen a repro of that poster..

" FRAMED LARGE REPRINT OF CONCERT POSTER FOR ROCK AND ROLL BAND  "THE WHITE STRIPES" CONCERT IN PARIS FRANCE 2005 "

I don't know how that seller could make it more clear that it's a reprint.

I'm saying maybe he doesn't know it's an original.
