I am with Mark on this one - too much pressure or heat on a poly sleeve and you are in trouble.
Mylar is the material of choice for any storage/archiving (vinyl, posters, photos, etc.).

I just realized that poly and mylar sleeves are totally different.
I never paid attention and (probably) thought they were the same.
Fuck! How do I know if my (non handpainted) sleeves are store in mylar or poly? I guess I cant.
Would it make any difference for normal sleeves if I use poly or mylar?

Poly sleeves always feel kind of soft and waxy to me and are often pretty thick and a bit opaque. Mylar tends to be thin but crystal clear and more rigid.
I don't pretend to know everything, because I don't have to pretend.

Ah! That makes feel a little better now. I think all mine are mylar.
