Hello!!

I'm Nick, I am 33% Colombian, 33% Italian and 33% Spanish, but I'm currently living in the UK. XD I study Illustration in Brighton (to be like Rob Jones some day!).

I love all the bands related to Jack White, I think he is very inspirational, as he is not just very talented but also an incredibly hard worker. I was able to get tickets to see him in London the 22nd of June and I'm also going to see him the next day in the BBC's Hackney Weekend festival :DDDD. Is anyone else going to Hackney?

In terms of music I also live a lot The Black Keys, they and the White Stripes are the biggest and most listened playlist of my Ipod :)))

See you around!

I guess I should have written here first. I'm Lori, and Astra is also my /nick in the LR and Vault. I'm mad about Jack, and recently got back into collecting vinyl even though CDs have been my primary form of collecting. I've always had to have something, and was kind of bitching to myself about no real places close that sells music I want.

I recently got into The Black Keys, and in context of them, The White Stripes kept coming up. I remembered a lot of times I'd listened in the past (all the way to around '01 or '03-ish!) but wasn't a huge, huge fan, and no idea why. Researching them more in searches and Youtube, I recognized some Raconteurs songs I liked too from the radio, and I didn't even know about TDW. When I read about Jack and TMR, my respect for him went way up. This past Christmas, instead of back-collecting TBK, I shelved that one and started, first in CD, the aforementioned bands. I should have done this ten years ago. And I'm collecting vinyl slowly. I'm not much of a vinyl player right now, but I can remember having records as a child so the meaning of it isn't lost on me. I can also remember I was so bad at playing mine I scratched them bad. I'm terrified of ruining any of what I'm getting now ;)

Hello Nick, Lori, and prettygirl! Good to have you with us. This place is a great resource for info on all things Third Man. By the way, we use A LOT of abbreviations here. Don't feel stupid about asking if you are not sure. Especially if you are new to these bands, it can get a little overwhelming.
Has everything you said today been true?

I'd like to challenge that. I've never been here before yesterday, fact. I'm sure if someone who knew what they are doing checked, it would show otherwise :)

I once worked with a programmer from China who always proclaimed, "I'm so exciting!" when ever she was, well, you know.

Greeting swirlers and swirlettes!! I found you all on google (fifth O) when I was trying to hunt down the Coker,Alabama flexi find. Little did I know, I had found the vortex of third man collectors!!

I started beefing up my record collection about two years ago. Then, about a year ago a friend said "you have anything 3rd man?" Well, who's 3rd man I ask...and down the rabbit hole I went :P

Now here I am and very excited to be a part of this community!
