Austin Psych Fest - The Reverberation Appreciation Society

Post by achouza »

I have been really digging UFO CLUB LP this label put out, I was wondering if anybody else had recommendations of what other albums are worth picking up. The new Holy Wave - Relax sounds really good, but then again so do most of their records (they have over 15 releases now).

If somebody is looking for the sold out UFO CLUB it appears they are repressing it.

Buy/Download "Shapes Have Fangs - Dinner In The Dark". My personal favorite album on the label. I've seen them multiple times. Very sad that they broke up.

Ditto on both these albums, the new Holy Wave is so good! I have been enjoying the Cult of Dom Keller release. Bit different then the two you mentioned, definitely more of that European modern psych sound that tends to have some real heavy bass drumming, similar to Dead Skeletons.

I highly recommend you check out the fest down in Austin, one of the best I have ever been to.

I think the record club subscription sold out a while ago, but you can email them. They're pretty good about responding... even if it's days later.
