The Sound of Art Records
(Label name pending)
The label's goal is to have artist read comics and translate it to the musical world. For our first release Max Bemis (of the band Say Anything) wrote a song with lyrics based on a story in the comic Invincible. The song was cut into an extremely limited 7" record and only released to those that worked on the record and/or the comic it was based on, 20 copies total. Here is a video of that track:
One copy is on picture disc and the remaining copies are on clear vinyl and each having custom one of a kind sleeves. Twelve of the sleeves were hand drawn by some of the top artist currently in the comic industry and the remaining 7 were made by me and my wife. Here is a couple of my favorites: Volume 2 has now finished the recording phase and is moving onto the cutting phase. Max Bemis is back on this one along with a track by Steve Soboslai (of the band Punchline.) The comic has not been announced yet as to not ruin any surprises at this years SDCC. Some custom sleeves are already done and we working with additional artist to get the rest ready.

These look FANTASTIC. And I LOVE Invincible. But I can almost guarantee this would be out of my price range. I am a sad John.
Even if you aren't selling any past these, keep posting pictures!!

I know nothing about comics but love the concept. Pm'd.
Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.
