I don't know why that seems funny to you.

I saw some pics of your 45s in your thread. Liked the design cohesiveness a lot. That's a nice looking collection.

Let me say it for him now, he was just joking............

I must say you have put together an impressive package. I would not mind having my name in the liner notes!!!
I am just not fond of that kind of music.
Let us know when you do another release for sure!

Thanks woody. I appreciate the kind words. And I honestly didn't expect anyone from here to be too excited about it, it's a pretty different bag altogether than the bands discussed here, but I felt compelled to share on a vinyl nerd bonding level. It's a fun experience.

It did apparently make Zachary's ass shake enough to grab one though, so that's a bonus. ;)

I don't think that's cheating. I hope people who weren't exposed to them check into them. Their shows were scary good. Crazy good players. Lots of live vid clips on YouTube. This album was mastered at Bernie Grundman, pre loudness era, and we sourced the original masters, so it's going to be a sonic treat on vinyl.

Also interesting, is the cover of "funkytown" on this record, written by the guitarist/producer's uncle. When they released the original CD, someone other than the writer was holding the licensing for it and Greazy Meal couldn't license it in time for the CD release. So they put it as a hidden track in the NEGATIVE space of track one. So, you'd put the cd in, hit play and immediately rewind to -4:50 on the counter and there was the song. Licensing has been sorted for this release and it opens the album as was originally intended.

If there was one song I'd tell anyone to check out on spotify from this album, perhaps the most universal stylistically and lyrically, it would be "One Man's Dream." I love every Greazy second of it.

Check out the Facebook page for this release. It's linked at the top of the greazymeal.com front page. ;)

1 LP of the first test pressing had to be rejected due to an issue in the run-in groove on both sides. It was a metalwork issue. I was expecting a shipping notice today on the fixed test pressing. Unfortunately, having a bad test pressing ends up costing 7-10 days. I've been keeping folks posted via the facebook page. You were the only person here to support the release (in terms of buying one), so I haven't been doing regular updates here. It would be awesome if you'd join us over there though.
