Yeah, skipped out of my last two hours of work so I could go, they played at Dan Electro's in the Heights after the Cactus in-store, couldn't go to that though. Talked with Zack and Matthew after they played, really nice guys. Apparently Matt has family living here in Houston, met his parents and some little siblings/nieces/nephews, chatted with his dad for a few minutes. Hopefully I'll have my recording rig back up and running by the next time they come back to Houston and get a nice recording, they're great live, very entertaining.

Test press records have arrived, and have been approved. The long delayed FER-002 will be going on sale next Monday. I'm currently running a contest of sorts to win a test press copy on Facebook and Twitter.

this is Reed's first solo project, he doesn't have a page set up for this project yet. he's using the band page

he has his own facebook page.
https://www.facebook.com/reed.turchi

band's facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/TurchiMusic

his record label
https://www.facebook.com/devildownrecords

He's also associated with Ardent Records in Memphis (home of Big Star!). They did the mastering on this record.

He's been great to work with. I have learned a few things from him, and I am grateful. He was able to get a distribution deal (through Red Eye Distribution) for the Fat Elvis release, so people all over the world can order the record through their local record stores.

Great! Only one edition, or several variants of the single?

3 variants on sale at fatelvisrecords.com Monday at noon EST

clear with random swirl (70 copies)
Violet (90 copies)
Geen (140 copies)

There will be a bundle option for all three records. The violet record will be limited for online sales, but there will be a few heading to Red Eye Distribution. They should be able to be ordered by your local record store no matter where in the world you are.
