Not sure who Hans has heard about, but perhaps all three of you are correct. I hope so anyway.

He's sent me one song, and working on the second one right, so I will go ahead and confirm that Reed Turchi has agreed to be my artist for FER-002. It's going to be a solo 7". I'm exicited about it. It's a little different than the Blackfoot Gypsies, but still incredibly awesome. Records will be ordered next week for a release on Halloween 2013.

Buy his newest 10" on Devil Down Records at http://turchi.bandcamp.com
It sounds AMAZING!

FER-002 has been ordered. Pre-Sale and "Official" announcement once the test presses come in.

Fat Elvis Records is very excited to announce the next vinyl release, Reed Turchi’s When You’re Lost It’s All A Sign (FER-002).

Those unfamiliar with Reed Turchi are in for a treat. Not only is Reed is the front man of his own band TURCHI, he’s also the label director at Ardent Music and Devil Down Records. His music is described as ”a blend between slide-guitar fuzz and rhythmic trances of the deep South, the remnants of a trainwreck between Mississippi Fred McDowell, Randy Newman, Jimi Hendrix, and RL Burnside.”

Fat Elvis Records is pleased to be a part of Reed’s very first solo record. The 7″ features the songs “When You’re Lost It’s All A Sign“ b/w “Lovers From Other Lives“. Both songs were recorded by Reed in Asheville, NC in record time, and mastered at L. Nix Mastering in Memphis, TN.

The vinyl will be released in three limited versions:

Kudzu Green – 175 copies
Rhodendren Violet – 175 copies
Clear with Random Splatter – 100 copies

Records are expected to be released by October 31, 2013. A pre-sale will be announced very soon.

TURCHI’s latest vinyl release, My Time Ain’t Now, is currently available on Bandcamp, and shouldn’t be missed! It really sounds amazing.

After numerous delays in getting decent test presses for FER-002, I am told that tomorrow might be the day the new plates get delivered and test presses will be made. If the test presses sound OK, the record will be pressed on Friday.

I'm in the same boat with GRIM007. Waiting on plates, must of had issues the last month or two at the platers...
