I really, really dig this album. Some great surf-rock, pop-rock tracks on there.
It's just a damn shame about the quality.
Both "Slick" (which IMO is one of the best on the album) and "He's a Bad Man" skipped through nearly all of the song.
I mean, for $5.00 shipped (with a one month free trial) I can't exactly complain, but it's still a pain.

To anyone who has used Feedbands before, is it worth it to send the record back and ask for a new copy?
I had a faulty 2nd release, emailed and got a replacement within 3days.

New copy, same problems.
Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for.
In this case five bucks and change gets you a terrible pressing of a good record.

I'll see you "good" and raise you a "great." Damn shame it's chock full of noise and skips. :( In fairness, I haven't cleaned it yet, and I think that will help immensely.

Great? Sure, I'd go that far.
Surf-esque rock and roll done right.
As for cleaning, what do you suggest?
The old soap and water or maybe some wood glue?
Truth be told I haven't done much cleaning.

Wait...I was talking about The Parlez-the newest release.
I've been wanting to try the wood glue bit, so maybe this is the one. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Ahh, no I'm sorry I should have specified.
This is my second copy of The Wild Ones LP with the same skipping issues.
Anyhow, yeah let me know how that goes.
I've been binge watching YouTube videos on it and figured for a $5 LP why not?

So feedbands posted this yesterday. I think they are aware of the sound issues and trying to fix it. https://twitter.com/feedbands/status/388475889056362496

That's all well and good, but I don
t think the only problem they're facing is the laquer master. Mine skipped and was noisy/"essy" as hell. I used the wood glue method to clean it (side A, anyway), and it's totally listenable now. Granted, it's still a little high-endy, and that's likely a mastering issue. If someone doesn't know what they're doing when mixing for vinyl, it will definitely make a difference. So, I think perhaps the plant who's doing the pressing may just be a dustbowl.

Try the wood glue method, and see if it makes a difference for you.

Hope it helps.

Anyone still subscribing to this? I have really enjoyed the last few releases. This last one is The Sweep from Cincy. Are you familiar with them Mojo?

Acually I cancelled. If I had known it was a Cincy band, I would have held out another month. I'll have to check them out-I haven't heard of them. Thanks for the heads up.

I stopped after the third. I didn't feel the music was worth it. I'm particularly not a fan of female vocalists/bands and it was the 4th release that was a girl band that did nothing for me. I don't regret cancelling.
Hey, it's just a fucking record. Chill.

I was in for three: The Parlez, Amycanbe, and The Kansas..., and loved them all musically. I neglected to change my subscription to standard black, as well as forgot to switch the account it came out of, resulting in it coming out of my joint account I share with the wife. Rather than hassling with refunding and charging the correct account for the standard black, I decided the hell with it.
