Well that's a swell idea.

I love the idea of the biodegradable digital download cards embedded with wildflower seeds.

Re: Feedbands
damn this sounds like a really cool idea. the biodegradable download card is awesome.
plus, if you don't like the music, you can return it. how awesome is that?? you're not stuck with something you don't like, even if it's opened and listened to. very nice

Re: Feedbands
Any update on this from anyone who's still doing it?
I really dig this months artist from the samples I've heard. The $20 a month plus $11 shipping to Canada is a huge gamble that I feel won't be worth it in the long run. I don't want to do the one month free sample and quit though. I just don't like doing that kind of shady shit.
Just wondering if anyone here is still doing it and thinks it's been worth it.
On an unrelated note. If anyone received their "Unknown Relatives" LP last month and doesn't like it, I'll buy it off you. PM me.

Careful.. I heard there was an issue with the first press. Most/some subscribers got 2 copies.

Shit. I got around to playing UR last night. First track on each side plays and sounds great, then the stylus goes walkabout. Major pressing issue.
Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.

Re: Feedbands
Humm...Not exactly the reviews I was hoping for...I think I'll continue to pass. There are a lot of other tings I can spend my money on right now that are a safer bet.

Release number 2 is......The Vliets, which look to be another band from the Austin area that you can listen to http://vliets.bandcamp.com/ if you want.

Re: Feedbands
I actually really dig this second band. I also found a guy selling his first release on discogs and made an offer on it for cost and got it...so I'm on this train now until I can't justify the price. I do like both the artists so far from what i've heard and this is the kind of vinyl I like to buy. Obscure/unknown bands I dig.
I'm not going to go drop $100's of dollars on first pressings of albums from the 90's I already have on CD. To me, this kind of vinyl hunting is much more fun for me. And I enjoy the end product.
Now having said all that, if the July artist is crap. That will be their only mulligan. after that, I'm out.

My Morning Jacket's Circuital came with a biodegradeable bookmark thingy that was pretty cool too.hellosmith wrote:I love the idea of the biodegradable digital download cards embedded with wildflower seeds.
