Bonjour Swirlers !
Finally managed to put out the first ever release on my small 7'' only label Six Tonnes De Chair Records, so thrilled !!!

So, STDC001 is from a French band called Monstre ! and their cool "Burp Reynolds" song.
It's a 150 pressing, 2 alternate hand screen printed covers...so that's 2x75 hand numbered ;)

Here's the my BigCartel link :
http://sixtonnesdechair.bigcartel.com/

The 7'' might be a bit pricey for the out-of-France people out there (99,8% of the WS i guess) so if you PM nice words i can easily send it to you for a kind of at-cost thing

If you wanna hear the 7'' :
http://soundcloud.com/sixtonnesdechairr ... p-reynolds
(there's also the B side which is a nice remix full of cool French words)

A quick made video of the track :
http://vimeo.com/43973929

I'm already working on STDC002 for this fall and it should be a French country-blues one-man band

Stay tuned

Voila !

Laurent

just spent all day getting this set up www.babycarrotrecords.bandcamp.com i must say bandcamp is pretty cool.

anyways it's got the entire catalogue music included. listening is free! (downloading isn't but that's because our goal is to get people to buy the physical releases when they come out)

So I have decided to dabble into the record label business. My first release isn't going to happen for a little while, but you can follow me on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/FatElvisRecords

working on getting a website up and running, while the band is saving money to go into the studio.

HUZZAH! I never saw this thread before, but yes! Except Joe Dirty is not my husband yet. And we only put out one record so far because I went back to school and that sucked up time and money. We were going to do a super cool release for RSD from a great band, but time was not on our side. Haha. I'm hoping to get back into it once I finish school next year. Maybe sooner.

Lots of labels from people here! That's so awesome. It certainly isn't something to do if you want to make a profit, but it sure is fun! It's amazing the orders that come through still even though we put out The Shiver in 2008. We still get in orders in bursts. Lately it's really picked up, but I think it might have something to do with Jack's male band being called The Buzzards and the fact that The Buzzards that we put out has a connection with Jack (the video they did with Jack and Meg and the song on Jack's Sympathetic Sounds of Detroit record). I think people think it's the new band....But maybe not. It's still a kick ass record. Blackwell played the record at the TMR opening party. I ran up to him and was like "YOU ARE PLAYING THE RECORD I PUT OUT!" and he was like "yeah, it's a great record." I think I'm going to go play it now. :)

I should also have an LP coming out by the end of the month, so keep an eye out for that.
