the lyrics to "reverse vampire" make more sense than they ever have after reading this article. In this nashville cream video, he says "all these songs are about Ben Todd."

It's a gorgeous song and it's even more gorgeous after reading it. Rest in peace.

WHEN I LOOK AROUND
AND WHAT I SEE IS NOT THE BEST
BUT ITS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME
RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW
I GUESS
ITS SORT OF BORING
I GOT A MILLION WAYS
TO OCCUPY MY MIND
AND WASTE MY TIME

UHHHHH

WELL, I WANT TO
RELEASE THE HEAT
THAT’S BUILDING IN MY CHEST
AND BLAST IT LIKE A LASER BEAM
FOREVER AND ENDLESS
STRAIGHT INTO THE SUN
AND THEN MY LIGHTENING BOLT
WILL SHINE ON THROUGH
TO EVERYONE

UHHHHH

BURNED INTO THE BFF
I DON’T GOT TO BE MYSELF
IN A CONSTANT STATE OF DEATH

AND I BEEN TWICE AROUND
BUT I REMEMBER WHERE I BEEN
GONE TO SEE THE BRAND NEW BODIES
OF ALL MY OLD BEST FRIENDS
WE’RE GOING TO DIE AGAIN
BUT WE’RE NOT BLEEDING OUT
BECAUSE WE’RE REALLY TUNING IN

UHHHHH

SO COME UP TO ME
QUICKLY BABY
AND WHISPER IN MY EAR
AND RELEVATE SOME PROPHESY
BUT MAKE IT CRYSTAL CLEAR
JUST LIKE THE TIME YOU SAID
THAT,
“GOD IS UNDERNEATH YOUR MEMORY
FLOATING IN YOUR HEAD”
IN YOUR HEAD
UHHHHH
IN YOUR HEAD

to quote ben todd via the article "I've watched the only city I love get turned into a fucking magazine spread,"
some of what the author had to say came off as a bit condescending, but that's just me
I've also heard some elements of the article didn't go over well with some who were interviewed.
in fact there are some comments relative to just that at the bottom of the article itself

i understand what was intended when writing the article, but idk, something about the final result doesn't sit well with me

Sealed hypnotic knights white
sealed king tuff loser edition
sealed king tuff was dead (possibly)
sealed the ettes no home 7"
sealed ted leo TMR black & blue
+ cash if you want it

if there's no takers on that i'll have a mini contest or something for the ND stuff. my personal belief is flipping is shitty so don't bother with cash PM offers.
Bet ya'll wish this offer was still open. 8-)

Anyone here have any more details on the fallout associated with this year's final Freakin' Weekend (VIII)?

Appeared (and I'm only speculating) that Pujol pulled out from playing due to issues with the show either not being 'all ages' or with the show not being free according to an instagram post he made?

Also this?

Doesn't give much detail, but I did find this link:

The comments on that post above fill in a little more of the story.

The comments almost seem to be the whole story behind the ditching of Cy. The statement seems odd to refer to ticket prices in the same statement about ditching someone on rape admissions though.

Agreed, I did see that later on... still a little unclear if everything there was in reference to Cy (or to Natural Child) or whatever.

This is such a bogus response. Drove 6 hours to my first Freakin' Weekend in 2012 and went back in 2013, 2014, and 2016. A lot of folks who don't live in Nashville and/or are not friends with folks in the scene are sad to see the festival end on such unceremonious terms... appreciative if anyone has further details.

I didn't mean to be 'bogus' at all. I'm pretty sure the ND guys won't be saying much more in public and I don't blame them. PM me if want Eduardo
