Very glad to have met Ben a few times. Always a happy smiley guy. He had a great future ahead of him

Just caught wind of this. 24 is awfully damn young.
Condolences to his family, Nashville's Dead, and D. Watusi.

Man, that's such a sad story.
My sympathy goes out to anyone this has affected.

Seems very odd that it was suicide?
Sure doesn't make sense , but what suicide does? Hard to believe.
Way to young and bright for this to happen. Just don't get it.
Prayers sent out for his family and friends.

Ben was a very funny person. Even though he may not be with us, I would still like to share this comedy gem. This is a transcript of an email conversation I sent with Ben.

Me-I was wondering if the Freakin Weekend will be 18+. I really love all if the bands in the line-up so far, and I want to buy tickets, but I don't know if its 18+. Thanks.
Levi.

Ben-They will be 18+ but we encourage you to try and sneak in if you can!

Sneaking into The End is easier than Exit/In - usually the door guy doesn't even care.
Anyway....

POPULAR METHODS:
A friend gets in and gets stamped then comes outside and you mash the stamp against your hand/wrist too - making it look like you've already been in.
Two friends go in and then one comes out with both IDs - passing the ID of the friend who's still inside to you so you can try to use it.
Wait around the back door until there is no security guard standing there, then go for it [not suggested since there will probably be someone there the whole time]
Get a fake ID or borrow an ID of someone who looks sort of similar to you - probably good to know all info on ID including zodiac sign.
Convince a band that is playing to let you help carry some gear inside and act like you're with them.
There are a couple other things you could try - but usually at least one of those will work.

best,
ben

It is sad to see someone with so much life go so young.

Man, you listed off the same bands I want to see. I got a 3 day pass, from what I understand is that guarantees entry to all shows. Hope that is right.

I was going to catch some day shows.

On Friday I have a complete tour of the Tennessee Tirans, LP Field! Should be neat. Then back to rock n roll. The tour is at one o'clock. That works out good.
Going to come up Thursday afternoon, going to do the tour Friday and Grimeys/TMR ON Saturday. Catch some day shows at the pop up. Should keep me busy!
