Are you there Cass Records email list? It's me, Ben. I'm sorry to have been unavailable lately. Our "warehouse" or "mom's house" caught on fire last Christmas and it put a wrinkle in some plans. We hope you grabbed copies of the Decks and Mick Bassett 45's because all the ones we had burned up and melted together in something reminiscent of a Dali painting. SInce we last talked we've moved to Nashville and begun helping (okay, working) for another record label, Third Man Records. But don't fret. You loyal customers are truly our first love. So let's celebrate with three piping-hot new releases. First is a 7" from the Readies. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a Dan Kroha jam. First release from his latest outfit and we even printed a proper picture sleeve for the occasion. Next is a 7" from Turbo Fruits, a bunch of bozo sweethearts from Nashville. The b-side is a song I've been enamored with since 2007 and the flip is a love song. Lastly is a 12" single from the Dirtbombs. Let me just say it is the worst thing we have ever released. Now that I've said that, let me let you in on the secret and say that there's a little more to this single than what it appears to be. Look to the grooves and await further messages. It will surely be worth it. order here: http://www.cassrecords.com/test/records.htmlFor the time being we're working strictly Paypal, so no snail mail orders right now. Car City Records, Stormy Records and Street Corner Music all have copies of these on hand, so if you're in the Detroit area you can find them there. Otherwise, order away! I'm still searching for a copy of Nicola Kuperus' book "First Edition" and will pay or trade handsomely for it. Cass releases, rubies, vintage lint...whatever your poison may be I can accommodate! later...ben
Probably two of the rarest Cass 45s now! Haha

Anyone know anything about the secret of the Dirtbombs 12" ?
I see it has "If it aint broke, break it" written in the dead wax... are we supposed to something hidden inside the record if we break it open?
I would test my theory but that record was $15.

So, the B-side is grooved, but silent... Is that what you guys found?
