Polyvinyl Records

Post by Melon »

I think their 4 track series might be the coolest concept for a subscription I've heard.

still available for anyone interested here: https://www.polyvinylrecords.com/singlesseries/

The 2014 pack looks pretty well-detailed. I'll give it a go and report back later!

I agree! I loved the 2014 version immensely. Well, I haven't heard Thao yet. That one arrived split in half. Poor sad record. Still waiting on my replacement.

You loved it, but how would you rate it and recommend to others?

I really like vinyl subscriptions. They fulfill my dual needs for receiving mail and new music.
Last year I did both the MERGE and Polyvinyl 7" subscriptions and I would rank the Polyvinyl set above the MERGE set. MERGE was cool too, don't get me wrong.

This year I also have the Joyful Noise VIP subscription which includes a surprise 7" each month. I'm very excited for this one. And the people at Joyful Noise are top notch.

The only issue I had with the Polyvinyl subscription was the broken Thao 7" which was the December shipment. But I emailed pictures to Polyvinyl, they apologized and asked me to confirm my address. Super quick and easy.

This year there is also the Keep In Touch 7" subscription which looks super cool. It's on 7x7 flexi disc postcards, so it's not for everyone. But it's cheap for a subscription series and I'm really excited for a number of the bands.
