Tomorrow is the big day !!!

Hey people! Well its the moment a lot of you have been waiting for. Over the past two weeks we ran a contest to give away a test pressing of our very first release and we were overwhelmed with the response from you guys. We had 145 entries and that fucking blew me away. Just to explain how we did this, every time someone entered i added their name to an excel document and in turn you where matched up to a number. Today i used a random number generator to pick a winner and I'm happy to say that winner is swirls own JASON MANLEY with lucky number 112! Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter!

Just a heads up, we will be running a second contest to go along with the preorder of GWY001 for another test pressing of the record!!

As mentioned, I want to give you some more info on our first release and preorders:

On Tuesday December 30th @ 2pm EST, GWY001 will go up for preorder @ http://www.GreenwayRecords.com

GWY001 is a brand new 3 song EP by New York punks The Young Rochelles titled Know The Code. We pressed the EP on 3 different color combos that will be available for you to choose:
70 copies on Transparent Green Vinyl with Green covers
60 copies on Clear Vinyl with Black covers
50 copies on Splatter vinyl with Spray Paint Splatter covers

All the covers were designed and hand printed by Dan Curran Print Shop. Dan specializes in a form of printmaking called Linocut where no two covers are alike and they all are true works of art.

We want to give away another Test Press of this record and here is how you can win one. Preorder the record and every copy you buy gets you 1 entry into the contest. Buy 3 copies of the record and get 3 entries to win, its that simple.

Every preorder will come with as much free Greenway swag and band merch as we can stuff into the mailer. We made an awesome button / sticker that are specific to this release and we have a second amazing sticker on the way.

The official release date for the EP is January 20th 2015 but all preorders will ship to arrive on or before that date.

I think I mentioned everything i wanted to. I hope you are as stoked as i am to get this record into you hands! The vinyl and covers are on the way to us and we will be posting previews over the next two weeks leading up to the preorder.

Got my bundle today. I notice the splatter version is numbered out of 80, not 50, as the website implied? What was the total number of each pressing? (I'm guessing the band got some).

The Pond Scum Splatter was numbered out of 80 and there are 80 total. Only 50 copies were sold online and they will never be available again online as they are sold out. We did hold back some for ourselves and for future record fairs we plan on attending. Its the same situation for the Green and Clear copies, 100 were pressed of both of those with a number held back from sale. Hope that clears that up.
