Cannon/John the Revelator=*dies*
That was the effect it had on me at the only TWS show I saw, anyway, and the thought that he's still out there singing it, oh man . . . .

It is really cool to hear about different old songs dropping in on different nights, each show has it's unique twist. All the more reason to go to more shows!

Was it the male or female band?

Ok, can't sleep! Too much adrenaline! Here's the review:
Me and my girlfriend got into Memphis around 2, grabbed a bite to eat and was in line around 3/3:30. Shaneoftheroad and his wife arrived before long and we got acquainted with them while we stood in line for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. We discussed either heading straight to the stage or attempting the merch line. We decided on the stage, but when the doors opened the merch was right there. The girls went and grabbed a place for us. Got the 7" tour vinyl and poster!
We were about 30 feet from the stage. The "Memphis Dawls" opened up and were good. Very folky. Played around 7 songs or so. Afterward, the roadies began setting up Jack's stuff and made an announcement about how there is zero tolerance for picture taking. (Which some people didn't take seriously. More on that in a bit.)
The lights went down and we get a blue light with "| | |" in the background. The crowd was going so crazy I couldn't hear the notes of the first song for a few seconds! Male backing band. "Dead Leaves" opened up followed by Sixteen Saltines. During Sixteen Saltines security grabs a girl and escorts her out. Photo taking? Not sure about the order of the rest of the songs, but he played several new songs, Hello Operator, Friends, Top Yourself, Steady As She Goes, You Know That I Know, Two Against One, Ball and Biscuit, Seven Nation Army, I Cut Like A Buffalo, Hotel Yorba..........and CANNON/JOHN THE REVELATOR! Crowd went insane! He closed with Goodnight Irene, which was a perfect ending for me.
I screamed, sang along and just enjoyed the moment. Absolutely incredible night. No words would be worthy of summing the show up. I'm glad I was able to be a part of this. I have never seen Jack so happy. He was smiling all night and you could just tell he is really enjoying himself.
