That's because it is an alcohol free campus and they would not allow him to have alcohol or smoke (which evidently he was angry about.)
But it put him in this awesome mood and he killed it that night.

I'm going to make this guacamole recipe and sort the matter out with Lalo personally. Aside, this whole kerfuffle is precisely what I want out of rock & roll.

He sure as hell did. What with that and all the equipment failures, this show was teetering on the brink, and thankfully toppled over into total awesomeness.

Here is the latest from Jack's website:

http://jackwhiteiii.com/holy-guacamole/

It appears that Norman will not be "blackballed" but I honestly think the Daily did NOT do us Okies any favors by trying to act all cool and getting snarking...

A little off topic, but we just came home from celebrating grandma's 101 birthday and made the infamous guacamole. The chucks make a difference. Very tasty.

My personal favorite is the request for two "experienced, competent, sober, co-operative, English speaking sound engineers" for the local crew.

+1

the tone of the original article was negative and accusatory on the whole, on top of being poorly written. i think if the story had a more “hey this is interesting” kind of lighthearted feel to it, or even the pure-vanilla professional and journalistic tone they claimed was their intention, that this whole thing would have passed quietly under the radar.
