shaneoftheroad wrote:Just curious... For those of you with GA tickets, what time do you plan on showing up? I know it's still early, I'm just trying to get it all together. I don't need the rail but I'd like to be close. I've only ever been to one GA concert and it was Jack in Memphis. Small venue so it didn't matter where you were standing. For the Bridgestone I'd like to be at least in the first 6 rows without having to spend the night outside. Thoughts?

I'm wondering this also. I really, really don't want to wait outside all day in January. However, I'm short so I do want the rail lol

Right now is the most I've regretted not becoming a vault member.

I've seen Jack solo 8 times from The Ryman to Bonnaroo to the Blue Room, and every time is better than the last. And I wonder how long can that keep up, but he shows no signs of slowing down in the bad-ass dept. He seemed to be all-smiles this evening. The second set opened with The Raconteurs, minus Patrick with Daru in his place for Salute Your Solution and Steady as She Goes. Then he brought out Loretta for Portland Oregon and a song called Whispering Sea, which he said was the b-side to her first single in 1959. He said he wanted to play it and she told him she had never played it live. That was really something special. That's 56 years ago. So crazy.

Is this an alternate of some sort for the Bridgestone show?

After almost four years it finally happened. I have a stage-used Jack pick from a show I attended. Didn't think it would ever happen. Wow.
