As I was tucking my poster away one of the MSG merch guys asked if I was a fan and whether I knew the poster artist. Then a couple of them leaned in and in a skeptical tone asked why the Empire State building was upside down. I told them they'd have to ask Rob Jones himself but that he'd happily oblige them. They weren't very satisfied with that answer.

Excellent show. Jack & Q-Tip tussling it out center stage was by far the highlight (love me some ATCQ) and harkened back to his other collaborative projects. I enjoy the tension between artists on stage - it ups everyone's game.

RTJ had good timing, great chemistry, and they seemed truly in awe of being there which is always endearing to see. Its impossible not to dance to hip hop/rap/go-go/funk but they've too many eye-roll inducing lines to forget yourself in the music. IMO their beats are uninspired and their lyrics cliched. But they are excellent entertainers, I just find most of their work banal compared to other artists.

It was in the middle of Top Yourself. He asked "Everyone was still OK, if not we got some aural medicine up here on stage" something along those lines.

I can't seem to find the exact one, but it wasnt that one because I ALMOST got that one, but this one was actually cheaper with the sale they were having.

All out of gray frames at my Michaels. Went with black.

This thing is massive. I'm glad my other posters are not this big. I am running out of wall space.

Good show, okay Jack show. Q-Tip appearance was awesome. It was great to see a lot of friends/familiar faces in the crowd.

My brother in law was able to rip this show from the Pandora stream, and separate the tracks. He burned it onto a CD for me. If anyone would like to own the rip, PM me, and I'll have him send it to me as a link and I'll hook you up.

If this is something that is frowned upon, mods can delete this post.

^^ It's also in the Solo Media thread over at the Little Room, for those folks who dare to venture over there.
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."

Ive had two Japanese friends look at the writing inside the 3 on the poster and both have said that letters more or less equate to gibberish. It is Japanese writing but has no english meaning that makes sense I'm told. Wonder why RJ would do that maybe just to fuck around i guess.

Hmm. Especially given Animal Rummy's logo, seems hard to believe it would just be random. But . . . :?
