That show will forever go down as one of the greatest music performances Chicago has ever seen. I am a die hard, but I brought a friend who only knew a few of the hits and he says thats easliy the best performace he has ever seen. Its indisputable. It was history. And you could feel it as it was happening. History was being made.

4:00 AM and I just got home. I literally sat in silence for the first hour of my three hour drive. No music. No talking (out-loud to myself). Had to let what I had just witnessed sink in. Still not sure what to make of it. Three hours. "Muddy Waters Night." Astro. The Rose With a Broken Neck. Manic Depression. Some random kid pulled up onstage to play 7NA. Daru. OMFG. Mind blown.

The White Stripes covered "Stones in My Passway" a few times but I believe it's the first time Jack has played it post WS.

I guess I'll check this out today, sounds like a worthwhile listen.

Sounds like his past couple shows has been out of this world. Like he died and was born again to put on even better shows than he already does. You guys are making me want to fork up the cash and travel to go see him.

Is this the FM Broadcast, or the webcast?

I believe it's the broadcast from the radio station website.

There's now also a flac file in the media thread at the LR that won't expire.

If this is a recording and not a download or capture of the webstream, FLAC and 128k MP3s won't matter because the original stream (at least the one I was listening to) was only 64k. You're basically re-encoding a crappy source into a larger product. I am absolutely not knocking the taper at LR, but this is where lineage is very important. If this was an FM recording, that would definitely be better than most any webstream source, but if you rerecord a webstream you go compressed digital source > analog > digital > compressed digital for encoded MP3s.
