It is very curious. My obsessive Googling yesterday led me to this wikipedia article about Manoel Island. It was originally called Vescovo Island and features a lazaretto constructed in 1643 by the Knights of Malta. Vescovo & Co. claim to be a charitable organisation kindly funded by the Knights of Malta. I don't know what to make of these facts yet, but TMR is definitely up to something here. They need to quit messing with my head!
