Did anyone see and enjoyed Jack's acoustic medley for the Tonight Show? I was mesmerized and teary. I think this version of "You've Got Her in Your Pocket" is so full of emotion and sadness. His voice breaks, but is so beautiful. Personally, it made me think of The White Stripes and times past. I also thought of Meg and that final shot in Under Great White Northern Lights where he's at the piano performing an equally sad and nostalgic "White Moon."

I watched it a few times. It was very powerful. Seemed like he was breaking down singing it. Wonder what, or who, he was thinking of.

I watched it again today. Very powerful indeed! I would like to think he was thinking of Meg. But, then again we will never know what goes on in his head.

And pretty much any time I've seen it played.

He wiped away his tears in the back there.
Somebody tell Meg to pick up her phone when Jack calls, jeez.

I watched this many times. THIS is why I love Jack White .... I have too less words to describe how happy it makes me to see someone put on such a heart-warming and REAL performance.
SO plain and pure .... to say it in JW's words "he makes music happen"
