He looked down at us at Bonnaroo and thanked us for doing our normal jobs. He was walking on the front of the stage and staring at us a lot too. I felt like he really appreciated our presence that night. There were a lot of stressful seeming moments onstage but he seemed sincere when he said those things.

I don't know about that guy backstage but it's possible Jack knew he wasn't supposed to be there. It's possible he limited backstage access specifically not to be hassled. If I were a guy who bought a backstage pass off an employee of Jack's I wouldn't press my luck by asking for an autograph like that. For all he knew the guy was gonna hawk it on eBay or something. He carries around stuff like Denial Twist 3"s and custom baseball cards for people too. And from what I hear people tend to get those when they see him and say, "great set, man," as opposed to asking him for something. That doesn't sound like an asshole to me, but of course we all have our moments.
i won't let love disrupt, corrupt, or interrupt me anymore...

I didn't think it was. Saw him in Montreal two nights after RCMH and it was 10x better. Radio City was average at best.
We'll have to agree to disagree--I was at both RCMH shows and 10 others on that tour, and while it wasn't the best JW show ever, I thought it was a really solid (if short) show. I've never seen him do anything less, to be honest. But when he's pissed, he's punchy. :D

yolomanolo wrote:So awhile back I was listening to this radio show called Kevin and Bean and they were talking about how you were excited to meet your favorite celebrity and it turned out the opposite of what was gonna happen and this guy called in saying he was at one of the Wiltern Shows from the Blunderbuss tour and he bought a backstage pass off his driver and when he went backstage, he saw Jack and he asked him to sign his copy of the Lighting Bolt record and Jack says "Yeah sure just wait here! Let me go get a pen!" and he comes back without a pen. Instead he came back with two huge bodyguards and says "Get this guy out of here and don't let him back in." Flash forward to Lazaretto Release Day (and also the day of the Fonda Livestream) I was waiting in line and I overhear this woman behind me talking about the same guy and turns out he knew him!!! I wanted to see if the story was true so I asked and it was. He was also a huge fan according to her. So has anybody ever had a crappy Jack White experience in here?
That person should have been escorted out of a credentialed area. I feel bad they "bought a backstage pass" but they had no reason to be backstage

Had the opportunity to meet him a few times. Never asked for an autograph or a photo. I wouldn't dare to.
