I wasn't really sure on that one myself, but I've been trying to collect some of the recent posters and thought it was worth bringing up

The show hasn't happened yet. How many times have you seen Jack's posters circulating before the show? I don't think it can be real. Plus, while it looks pretty cool, it does feel like a knock off of some of the more recent stuff. Plus, it says it has a hand-painted black border. Either this is an exceptionally rare piece of awesome that we are all missing out on, or it is just someone doing fan art. It would be ironic and funny if this was a hand-done artist proof for the actual poster. Someone would walk with it for $10 and turn it for $1000. Good for them, I'm not going to pull the trigger on this one.

From the description:
"Printed on card stock on a professional printer, then hand painted black border surrounding it."
So not a silkscreen, not signed or numbered, and on card. No mention of edition size, official status, or even size! There seem to be a lot of these "unofficial" prints around lately (there were a couple of WS ones on feebay a while back) and if they aren't coming from someone seriously connected (e.g., norelation, redbear, harvestgirl [and kevron back before he went off the rails]) they are unlikely to be proofs, just opportunistic. Just my opinion as a poster nerd.

a. It could have been made by someone just as an ad for the show.

b. It looks way too Stripes-reminiscent to be any kind of official Jack poster. Plus, no birds. (OK, so they don't all have birds . . )

I asked the seller. They made it to commemorate the show. Not bad work, but not likely valuable unless this person becomes a famous designer later on.

as a scientist i prefer hypothesis to fact
