I think you're close, Cathy. The vulture on the album cover is a black vulture and this is what they look like as chicks-- http://ibc.lynxeds.com/photo/american-b ... atus/young

Baby Griffon Vulture?

Although the beak does look more like a Turkey Vulture or Black Vulture.

Did we inadvertently start a baby animal pic thread? No! What have we done!

^^Love these!!!

I was kind of hoping it would turn out to be an albatross chick, 'cause it'd be a lot of fun reading the below into all things BB. (Fave thing I had to read in high school.)

Makes sense to be a vulture chick. I can't get the photo, but type in "vulture chick" into google images and have a look at the third one along - that looks pretty similar

Jack said the song "Blunderbuss" was about death. And it clearly deals with relationships. This could be a representation of that.

And tell me the dead man in a bowler hat in the arms of a beautiful woman isn't Jack!

Although, this could just as easily be representative of the album as a whole.

Now I am remembering the lyrics to Blunderbuss
Here is some conjecture to tie ins to the poster:

"On that broad avenue" - The picture is taken from across a broad avenue
"We left your man alone in drag" - Rob Jones, House of Jones Womenswear sign
"A romantic bust" - Romance de la Muerte title on billboard
"Explosive Blunderbuss" - This may be a stretch, but it looks like one of the busses has smoke around its tire, looking like a blowout or small explosion of some kind. Either way, you know he had to put literal buses in the blunderBUSs poster
"Ancient grand hotel" - Hotel Claridge sign above billboard

Not sure if I'm right and not sure if there is more. But it seems like a fit.
Not sure if the two ladies in the foreground that are digging into their purses have symbolic significance.

No, I think I figured this one out.

This seems like it is Take Me With You When You Go.

Plus, they already did Hip (Eponymous) Poor Boy with an picture of an actual hippopotamus.

I think this is Missing Pieces.

The song starts with him bleeding.
Then the other person surgically removes pieces of him. These medical personnel seem to fit this.

I could make a case that the imagery could be Freedom at 21 as well, but Missing Pieces seems to fit better to me.

First time I saw this pic, I could have sworn that top 7" was a new 3" single! Jebus, that's the last thing we need!
