Jack White 2014/15 Tour Poster Archive

Post by grumblestiltskin »

I can't believe it's been two years since I did this last... Same deal as the last time folks! Although I've bothered to put in festival dates, chances are that there won't be any Jack specific posters at those. At least, there weren't last year...

I'm excited because as a general rule, no matter how much I want to buy a gig poster I am not allowed to buy one to a gig I haven't been to. This is going to be my first Jack White concert so I'm super excited to pick my first one up!

What are the normal prices in the UK for the posters?

That's my golden rule too!

I don't remember prices exactly, but £15 - £20 seems safe. It might depend on the size of the poster a bit too...sometimes they are double size (like the Alexandra palace ones from last tour), and might therefore be more expensive simply cos they are more expensive to make!

He doesn't normally do posters for festivals does he?

You might as well find all the line-up posters for festivals since they are already out, and add them to the list.

I am hoping for a killer poster to the TMR RSD show.

No he doesn't normally do posters for festivals...I'll probably delete the festival dates once that's been confirmed for this go round too. Still, nice to have something on the front page...

I'm definitely cutting back to shows I attend only. At this point I may have to staple them to the ceiling or build more walls !!! I will probably swap out some of the posters I bought from last tour that I did not attend with posters from shows I attend this tour. I just have cheap frames from Michael's and such so it is easy to swap if they are 18X24.

I will probably get a portfolio to keep the rest in. I have a U-Haul picture moving box as storage for now.

Tour singles ??? Anyone. I got to quit buying black, tour, and tri color. Well, maybe not :D

If I do give in and buy posters this year (as Ryan probably very accurately predicts), that's what I'm going to have to do, too. I spent a boatload on fancy mats and frames (well-priced, but a boatload considering the number of posters) and have no wall space left. Would still be cool to have a portfolio to sit and flip through, though, like a gargantuan scrapbook.

Can we please refer to the Eventim Apollo as Hammersmith, or Hammersmith Apollo. Such an historic venue.
•<Jack White> we also want to come up with vault packages you don't like, a streaming service to make rich people richer, a t shirt
too big for you, and a bunch of shit you don't want but we're hold ing a gun to your head to purchase.

I got a bunch of Michael's frames to switch posters back and forth too but I think the best thing I ever did was go out and buy a 24X18 portfolio. It holds soo many posters and it’s so easy to just slip them into a sleeve after a show. It stores them flat and in the dark which is also nice. It is also so cool to be able to flip through them like a book and then take them out and swap them into frames when you want.

I am trying to only get posters from shows I attend but sometimes it is tough.
