a must read... very good interview... it wasn't just a list of questions, it was a back and forth conversation that I found fascinating... the best line I have seen in a while was by Jack when referring to mainly British newspapers... "they are just tabloids with a better font"... greatness... I have noticed that the Brits are obsessed with their tabloids...

I downloaded that, too, (from elsewhere) and it is definitely one of the best interviews with him that I've read. Even with a scanned version, I'm still hitting the newsstands over the next few weeks to find a tangible copy.

I love that they include a little sidebar about his new/old Gibson Army-Navy.
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."

Is this the first time we've been told the names of Jack's bands - the peacocks and the buzzards?

Really interesting interview!

Damn I posted on the other uncut interview thread by mistake.
oops
Anyway
I bought this today, I was pretty excited by the part where he mentioned that he recorded 25 or so songs
for blunderbuss, and that he's already thinking about recording more with his 2 bands.
Yay!

I can see an endless stream of b-sides from these sessions being vaulted out over the years.
