The first single from the forthcoming Jack White 2018 full-length album on Columbia/XL.

“Connected by Love” was produced by White and recorded at Sear Sound in New York City, Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, and Third Man Studio in Nashville - marking the first time that White has recorded an album in NYC and LA. The track features White on vocals, synthesizer, and acoustic guitar, backed by a remarkable new lineup of musicians that includes drummer Louis Cato (Beyoncé, Q-Tip, John Legend), bassist Charlotte Kemp Muhl (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger), synthesizer player DJ Harrison, keyboardist Neal Evans (Soulive, Talib Kweli, John Scofield), percussionist Bobby Allende (David Byrne), and backing vocalists Ann & Regina McCrary of Nashville’s beloved gospel trio, The McCrary Sisters.

Quite the exciting day, but I think I’ll continue with my Jack White blackout until the record is in hand.

Guess I need to learn to read. But I still stand by my statement. Lots of "exclusives" that are "sold out" have made it into the vault store

Oh, and it’s quite interesting how they’re tip-toeing around announcing the name of the album. I suppose it’ll be revealed Friday? EDIT: Excuse me. I guess shutting myself off from everything has also made me forget how to read. I JUST logged into the vault and read this on the single announcement;
Today, Jack has released “Connected by Love,” the first single from his forthcoming third solo album, BOARDING HOUSE REACH

So... can we officially change the title of this thread to Boarding House Reach?

I finally watched the videos and like I supposed it is different that we knew. I don't know if I like it or not. Hight Ball Stepper was a really good surprise, Lazaretto too but this time...

Oh yeah! Remember when the front page to the official Jack White site was a series of quotations from publications, outlets and individuals bashing Blunderbuss? Retrospectively, how fucking petty... and hilarious.

How many bad reviews do you have to get before you realize that maybe the product is actually bad?

Are you talking about the product that isn't even fully released yet (BHR)? Or the 2 singles that haven't even been out 48 hours...

Or are you talking about JW solo catalogue as a whole? Just curious cause I wouldn't be spending as much time as you do here if I felt that way.

I'm talking about anything in general. As in when anyone uses bad press to advertise. I mean has this worked for anything other than The Room.

For this record specifically I gave the first trade a nice solid C and the second tack an A+......so a B average ain't bad. Hopefully the rest of the album is more on the Commander side!
