Recent RSD and pressing plant releases have all been limited but at the same time lasted all day as the line lasted that long. So why should we assume this would be any different when they specifically didn’t give a number and specifically stated they would last as long as there was a line. Not doing that isn’t a game or a trick it’s lying to your customers.

the way their announcement was worded is that the only thing "limited" about this release is that the ONLY way to get one will be at one of the stores yesterday as long as you are in line and that line consists of at least three people AND that this release will never be available online. if there is a line of three or more maintained yesterday, the single will be available for purchase. so, my presumption is that they would have pressed a shit-ton of records to satisfy these requirements just in case there were a shit-ton of folks willing to stand in the frigid cold (and brave some icy roads, at least here in nashville). nowhere in the announcement does it suggest that they could run out as long as that line is still formed. my other presumption was that leftover records could be given away (by Jack at shows, by Ben in contests, etc), sold for charity auctions and so on. it's not like TMR was going to lose money on anything... evidently, many people were turned away without a record. TMR seems to have totally dropped the ball on this one.

Tell me about it. I'm pretty much over TMR. I haven't gotten a "collectible" TMR record in years. Unless you live in Nashville (or Detroit now) it's stupid to even try.
