New Jack White Track - Battle Cry
Out of nowhere, a new Jack White track! It's nice and heavy and instrumental, minus some chanting and such things.

It's the music for a Warstic ad, hence the Native American theme. Announced a few days ago--https://www.instagram.com/p/BScY3BcDdkZ ... astbuffalo

I like this actually. Straightforward and cool. Not as dynamic as High Ball Stepper, not quite a punch in the gut. But still cool, stays in your head. It's a quality instrumental for an ad campaign.

A song for puppets and now one for a bat.
We're getting somewhere.

The music sounds absolutely amazing, I hope it's a sound he will use for the new album.
All the rest sounds like pre sampled tunes from fruity-loops/pro-tools/fill-in-your-program.
I guess he couldn't find a group of people for the chanting and clapping. It sounds way too plastic to me.

All the right pieces are there; Jack, Dari and LJ. I'm not crazy about it, but as long as it's a one off like the Muppets or Maya Rudolph track then I'm into it.

Jack, JL and Daru are all credited with "claps" and "HEY!".Datch wrote:The music sounds absolutely amazing, I hope it's a sound he will use for the new album.

Would have been cool if they got a group of natives since proceeds of record sales will be donated to the Native Wellness Institute.chaptertwentyone wrote:Jack, JL and Daru are all credited with "claps" and "HEY!".Datch wrote:The music sounds absolutely amazing, I hope it's a sound he will use for the new album.

The biggest problem for me is that every clap and every hey sounds the same. Like they recorded once, copy paste.

"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."
