Lazaretto
Ooh, my veins are blue, they’re connected
And every single bone in my brain is electric
But I think ( ) are the best of ‘em
(Spanish)
Come on in my (Spanish)
Come on in my (Spanish)
And even god herself has fewer plans than me
But you never asked me out when my scans were free
She gets (???)
When I say nothing, I say everything
When I say nothing, I say everything
They put me down in a Lazaretto
Born rotten, born rotten
Making models of people I used to know
Out of coffee and cotton
And all my (???) are begotten
Throw down to the walls make better for nothing
Quarantine on the Isle of Man
And (???) that I can, oh

I have no time left, time is lost, no time at all, throw it in a garbage can
And I shake god’s hand (???) and let her know when I can, this is how I wanna do it
They wanna blow down the prison, they’re lighting fires with the (Gas in the masses?)
And (???) Fall down I’m still too short, I make ‘em (???) on their asses

It's "officially"? on the interwebz now, someone posted this over at the LR. Do yourself a favor and skip ahead to 7:13 first and then go back and listen to the boring guy talk about the event--
"And the message is clear: if we want Jack White as our hero, he will entertain, but not pander. We have to accept all his flaws, whims, caprices and manias as a critical, sometimes uncomfortable, part of the contract."

Dude... Come on. Number one, the cutting machine they had intended to use broke down THE NIGHT BEFORE so they had to scramble to get another one. Number two, the replacement machine was mono instead of stereo, so even though it worked they probably still had to do some last minute tweaks. Number three, IT WAS LIVE, cut to acetate in the freaking venue. Number four, if you can't handle something that doesn't sound absolutely, pristinely perfect, then what are you doing listening to Jack White's music in the first place? And number five, have you even heard the record, or did you just listen to those two guys in the video playing it through a turntable speaker into a mic?Ishmael101 wrote:pretty anoying that they seem to have a lot of sound equipment, but chose to record the record as shitty as possible..
Unless you're talking about the two guys in the video having a lot of sound equipment, in which case ignore everything I typed in that paragraph because I'm still dopey from the weekend.

I was totally talking about the two guys recording the 7inch with a camera michrophone instead of using their equipment yes. but i've had a pretty cranked up easter myself, so maybe i didn't express myself clearly

Apologies, then. I feel both high and hungover this morning, so I may end up overreacting to things all over the place, both on the 'net and off of it.
And people who find that annoying are just going to have to deal with it.

Video from Spin "Hear Jack White's Hear Jack White's Rowdy 'Lazaretto' Record Store Day Single"

also, if you don't want to listen to over 7 minutes of talking, this should go right to the song:

edit: the record is a little wobbly but the track is killer

Los Buzzardos. People were starting to call the Buzzards that back during the Blunderbuss tour until TMR said something in a News post about it. This guy apparently didn't get the memo.
