They were so awkward in 2012. I saw them at Webster Hall, which was a fun experience with both the Buzzards and the Peacocks playing and Gary Oldman running back and forth between the stage and the trailer out on the street where he was directing the livestream of the show for Amex Unstaged. But they were a standout memory not for being good or bad necessarily, but for being incomplete. They were down to 3 and it showed that they didn’t really know what to do with that. Too young to know how to just make the most of what you got maybe. Their whole set was a little uncomfortable. The entire trajectory of that group seemed to be a vehicle for Olivia Jean anyway. So, I guess mission accomplished? Sort of.
