He has had a lot of down time lately, so I don't see it being too difficult to get the album recorded in Q1 of this year. Doing everything after that may take some time, depending on who's working on it.

I've been assuming that he's probably working on the DW album right now. Maybe a summer release, fall tour if there is one?

I think he has probably spent this break with His children since it was the Holidays and all.

I also wonder about the DW album in general. The first two were quite spontaneous where this one sounds like scheduling time to do .... I hope it's good .....

I recon Open Up is one of their best songs to date, so i've no doubt that the album will be good.
Really would love to see them live though, i'm not always convinced by recordings on youtube, but i think in person it's awesome.

The DW Live is awesome. Every show I saw was great. I will never forget my first show at The War Memorial in Nashville. Nobody wanted to go so I went by myself. Sat dead center in the middle balcony and the bass was taking my breath away ! Soon thereafter everybody wanted to go see them!

Yeah, but as his studio's in his own yard, not too much of a conflict, and school's now back in session . . .

Btw I must have been sitting pretty much next to you at that War Memorial show. :D

:-) Was a great show !

My first interaction on the Swirl was buying the print from that show from Ara. Instead of lining up for merch I went on in to watch Screaming Females. Of course after the show all the prints were sold out. But I bought 3 colored 12" records from The Screaming Females for $8 each.
The good ole days !

It took me nearly a year to get that print.

It's one of my favorite prints - worth the wait !

I think we've been to a bunch of the same shows :-)

BUMP!!!

Anyone know why THE DEAD WEATHER "Open Up (That's Enough)" / "Rough Detective" is fetching so much on discogs? The other TDW singles aren't nearly as much much as this one.

Its from an older vault with fewer people subscribed.
But I agree with you that people are asking way too much for it on discogs.
