Re: Vault #9 - First Shipment Bets
There's obviously no excuse for this (somebody screwed up, plain and simple), but it's really too bad because I've always regarded TMR to be a model of customer service, and have always touted them as such to other people. Hopefully this was a one-off.

Re: Vault #9 - First Shipment Bets
Good customer service is not easy. A company has to be 110% behind having great customer service. It starts from the top and works its way down. It is embedded into the fabric of the company and is communicated in all transactions from the in store purchase to online orders.
I wrote earlier that they must not have reached the point of maximum frustration with customers complaining about their damaged goods. Well it looks like internally they have, but let's see what is the result. Let Vault 10 be the answer to that question. But on the other hand, this is fucking rock and roll - what the fuck are we expecting?

Re: Vault #9 - First Shipment Bets
i think it's a case by case basis thing for these vault packages. the only package i ever received with problems was the dead weather live package, which as luck would have it was my most anticipated one. i sent an email just saying, i've gotten every other package no problem, and this one was great except the record was badly scratched. i offered to mail it in, they said don't worry about it, and mailed me just a replacement LP. it took a week or so to get an email back, but i was satisfied. I think it helps to not blame them.
<Jack White> alright i'm out to feed my cats

I'm still awaiting mine, and I'm in NJ. They send them out in waves, I wouldn't contact them just yet.rival wrote:I'm still waiting on mine...when should I contact TMR about this?

URP shared a link to a local news story on Facebook, if you watch closely you can catch a glimpse of the Wanda Black and Blue getting pressed.

That just breaks my heart. I will say though, the boxes they used this time weren't ULine, weren't they all ULine in the past? I have a bunch of 7" boxes from them that are ULine.

Re: Vault #9 - First Shipment Bets
I'm not sure but is this the first one that didn't include extra cardboard. I could be wrong. Both records are scratched up. I guess I will send an email tonight. First the transmission on my wife's car blows up and now this, not a great day. I am sure that TMR will make it right.

Re: Vault #9 - First Shipment Bets
As far as customer service goes I would have to give them an A+.
I took mine to the store, went ahead and brought the DVD and 45. Showed Swank the damage to the outer cover and the three seam splits on the sleeve. He apologized and swapped my stuff for a brand new sealed Vault 9. No attitude, just a friendly transaction. I apologized for being so anal, he said no problem at all.
Thanks TMR

Re: Vault #9 - First Shipment Bets
The packaging definately isn't the same this time...with that said mine made it to Sydney in perfect condition.
Depends on your mail man/woman I guess.
Also, does anyone think the Wanda Live Lp is a bit light? I don't think it has the same weight as other tmr vault vinyls.
