Re: Vault package #8
just back from a short trip,
received my vault#8 yesterday.
i'm so friggin' happy!
i didn't listen yet,
maybe i invite a few friends over.
have a drink listen to the record,
watching the movie.
i did a little research about the cover photo.
i stumbled about detroit publishing co.
written in the credits
which is an old photo company from detroit,
they've made amazing pictures all over the u.s.
back in time ca. 1900 till mid 1920.
so, looked a bit further.
the mississippi cover photo is dated 1904
and shows a frozen water fountain on
washington! boulevard in detroit.
mentioned the horse on the right?
the photo is a bit retouched,
you can barely see it, here is the original:

...and of course there are jackie and lovely meg put in the pic.
i love it

Really cool info. I found this pic from a similar angle.

Don't believe the 60's was the golden age of pop. You glorify the past when the future dries up.

Re: Vault package #8
Is there still anyone in North America (other than me) that has not received their Vault package? I'm still waiting on two. If they don't come today, I'm going to email TMR. I just received a package I ordered from Sub Pop on July 15th...There are people on this board who got theirs earlier than June 30th...I'm losing patience.
TMR has tracking numbers, right?
