Re: Vault #49
I wonder if it's an issue with their new mega partner Sony.
Mine renews the 25th as an annual sub. Too poor to let that happen so tomorrow I'll cancel.

Not really what I was hoping for, but if I stayed in for the Sleep vault, I will stay in for this one.

So, I can’t remember at this point, but is this the first vault package with no direct Jack White contribution or direct connection?

Bob Dylan taught Jack how to weld. And his advice on writing lyrics led to Carolina Drama. So there’s a loose indirect connection.

That I know, but I mean directly relayed to the specific product. Hell, I don’t exactly know the work Jack did on the Sleep and Johnny Cash ones too. Those went right out the door the second they arrived.sandmaniac3 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:45 pm Bob Dylan taught Jack how to weld. And his advice on writing lyrics led to Carolina Drama. Beefheart was the first one. These are the only four Vaults I've skipped.chaptertwentyone wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:59 pmThat I know, but I mean directly relayed to the specific product. Well, Beefheart included Jack’s epitaph. Did he produce the Sleep show or the Cash mystery single?

I wish it would’ve been a t-shirt.
Hell, I wish they would continue to release more Don releases.

If they didn’t already have my money I might be in the same boat. Love me some Dylan, but this isn’t a very exciting Dylan release. Mid career, after the hits, before the eccentric later stuff, plus they already cherry picked the best for the SONY double LP. It’s like, here’s the leftovers of some weird stuff. If it’s really knock your socks off, that would be fine. But it seems like a listen once and done kind of thing. Not really something that was begging for a release in this format.
