Got swept up in Jack stuff and never made a thread for this.
It's finally on the official TMR calendar so lets talk about it!
Anyone else going?
You can still get tickets Here: http://wildwestcomedyfestival.com/Line-Up

Yeah saw him years ago (2008) in a great night of comedy. He was with Zach Galifinakus, Will Ferrell, and Nick Swardson.

he's doing two shows in chicago at a 600-cap venue and they've been on sale for over a month and not sold out. he hasn't released anything in a while. if this was a few years ago, he would've sold out two shows at 1,500 person venues in a day or two.

This is true. I was trying to convince my friends to go see him with me last friday when we were down in South Carolina, but they weren't interested. He was a lot more popular a few years ago, especially when he was doing his Important Things with Demetri Martin show.. I still have never seen him live, but would love to. Maybe next time..

Live at TMR DVD? A lot of his jokes might not come across well on a vinyl release. If he's doing a similar act to the last time I saw him he did a lot of drawings like on his Comedy Central show.

Considered going, but its graduation night for me and other things take precedence.

Haha, yeah. I think that wins. My girlfriends best friend is getting married that night as well and my girlfriend is a bridesmaid. I said to her "hey I am not in the wedding party, so you don't need me there, right?" The rest of the convo went a little something like this...

his CD is solid. I saw him on the funnie or die tour with a bunch of others, including Flight of the Concords and Dave Chappell (although, it was hartford so I wouldn't really say I saw chappelll)... anyway, his set would have translated well to audio only... ladies...

Awesome! I'll need to pick up his CD, I haven't heard it.

This will be a great show. The festival in general is great. They keep adding more folks to the solid line-up--Eugene Mirman and Seth Meyers recently. Anyone with an interest in comedy, I'd recommend checking out a handful of the performances if you can swing it.
