I hate that that is the track they posted for this single. The one they played through the monkey band was sooo much better. I walked away from the monkey band thinking it was one of the best singles they've done so far. This song, Paul's Not Home, not so much.

Wow. It definitely has a sort of retro thing going for it. Maybe as a ridiculous piece of fluff between songs at a live show 20 years ago it would have been fun. I don't hate it, but it does nothing good for me. Maybe it is an acquired taste?

I gotta go back to their news piece about it, but didn't they mean the original? Because that one sure is. Totally unconsciously perfect thrash/punk moves. Gibby's track, not so much—too . . . aware of itself. (Ah, the type of comment JW & Co. would mock incessantly.)
