WILLY MOON AND THIRD MAN RECORDS ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE

Third Man Records is proud to present the latest single by our absolute favorite producer/ singer / rock n roller New Zealander by way of the UK, Willy Moon. Willy is 21 years old, writes, records and produces everything on his own and keeps things short. Nothing grazes the three minute mark. He doesn't just blend different sounds, he smashes them together. It's as if rock n' roll was deep-frozen in 1965, and abruptly reanimated 45 years later by a laptop hip hop producer. Willy loves the physical energy of Cab Calloway, the brevity of The Ramones, and the style of film noir.

On August 20th, (and available for pre-order now) Third Man Records releases the 7" single and digital download of 'Railroad Track' b/w 'Bang Bang'. Both songs ring out as Big Bang size collisions of R&B (new and old), Gospel, and Doo Wop suavicity making this single one of the most exciting things we've heard this year.

I was wondering that too. This kid has some serious skills though. Already pre-ordered it. Will definitely want a tri of this

Pretty slick. Wasn't sure what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised.

No word on what exclusive record will be available, but we always have exclusive records for each release, so it's possible. Check back and we'll announce something in the future!

Love both tracks but I'm leery about his use of reverb on his vocals. Both tracks have it and it he's using it all the time it'll get old quick a la Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I May See.
