In recent years RSD prices tend to be high. $12 7"s and the like.

You guys would never survive up here in Canada....

$40USD record? That's about $55CDN...

Oh and shipping..you think $10 is bad? It's about $20USD to canada. That's about another $28CDN...for a total of $83CDN for a record. This is what we put up with every day..not just RSD. Europens can probably sympathize as well...though your dollar is worth a bit more.

I feel 'ya, though it's not so noticeable in stores, but mainly just from third man. We almost pay 100$ for a vault..

No I totally agree with you, its just when you expect to pay X for a record and then I ends up being 2X it sucks no matter where you are.

Yeah, I don't even look at what amount is taken off my credit card but my brother in law said it was $92 for the last vault. That's insane.

If $40 for the special RSD version is too high..............................just wait a month and get the normal version that will probably be $25-30.
I don't understand all the turmoil? They charge $30 for a special edition 7", why wouldn't they charge $40 for a special edition LP?

$40 is just about right IMO for this. I'll gladly buy two at $40 a piece if people here don't want them. My new baby won't permit me to get out to RSD this year.

I think $40 is OK for this nice a release. Nice cover, 180gm vinyl, for the quality and the artwork, it's fair. Limited Colored Vinyl and such. I'll probably buy it in black as well, oh well.

Rough Trade do sell at a premium, but I can't see this being less than £35 elsewhere in the UK.

Apparently it's £25 trade so I can't imagine it being less than £40 retail

It's @ £25 cost from distributor + 20% VAT. Add a margin rate of 30% (which is fair) = £40.
