Re: Desert Gold Box SPOILER topic WITH PICS
WHEW! Am I ever thankful Thee Oh Sees aren't included in this set. Pretty much the only reason why I would've seeked or "needed" it.
Wow...that's it!? That's indeed an incredibly steep price for what you get! There's nothing in that box that interests me in the least other than maybe the box itself. But even that's iffy considering it's smaller. Definitely a bummer! Sorry to the folks that invested that kind of time and money for what they received.
Even with the gift of the test pressing (which don't really seem to be that special from TMR as their test pressings have been flooding the market for a couple years now) I'm not sure I'd go $100 for the set. I'm wondering if these will sell for any more than $125-150 in the secondary market?
I do like that they're on black vinyl though. The vinyl market is flooded with poorly pressed cheap colored vinyl. Starting to get irritating even if it is at all collectible. Wait...what is collectible anymore???

I received mine today and it came with a Dough Rollers TP. It's a great package but I don't think it was worth the money or the wait. Oh well.

Anyone who doesn't think it was worth the money. I will gladly buy it today (at cost).

I guess people realize it's not as flippable as they had hoped to?

This is what I've gathered. It's a lot harder to flip when it's a year and a half after the initial p.o.sBikedo wrote:This.dylnfan wrote:Maybe you guys should calm the fuck down and let me take a proper picture]

I think it will be quite flip able. If they don't release the records to the general public then it will be real flippable. I think. People can sell the TP if they want and it will just about pay for the box set. I think. Been out of the game.

Re: Desert Gold Box SPOILER topic WITH PICS
2 things,
1. Can the two Gold Box threads be combined? Seems everyone just went directly from one thread to the other.
2. If you made a trade/purchase in advance for the box set, would you assume the TP should be included with this acquisition?

2. yes. why were the test pressings included? because it took so long. if the deal was struck when these first went on sale, the trader was the one waiting for these not the tradee.
