Dude it's a fucking apple script, Phpbb is as close to open source as it's going to be. I don't need to be on any particular server to view this information...

PS We all know about "admin private messages manager" which is a standard feature if you so choose. Since you own the server and control the code you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want. You're not the only one whos ran a phpbb board before...

Yup, there is the capability of installing something like that, but I haven't so you're rambling on about nothing.

I think if you've got the forum open you won't get any notifications as it assumes you've already seen the PM.
could be as i am always logged in and swirl is always up and running on my pc

Had this problem again today.
Was going back and forth with another user, and wasn't getting emails.
Then I started getting the new ones.

I've also been experiencing this problem. It seems to be a host problem at some level. We working on getting it back to normal though.
